Want To Do Good And Make Money At The Same Time?
“Greed is good…”
We remember the Gordon Gekko quote from the 1987 film Wall Street.
The man everyone loved to hate. Even before the banking crisis of 2009 and the Occupy Wall Street crowds.
And for those of us who are entrepreneurs…
Well, the good-hearted ones…
That statement bristles a little.
Because we *are* in it for profit making. Of course we are. How can we build a business that provides for our family – and potentially other business owners, their families and employees – if we’re not out for the bottom line?
But still. Greedy?
Is it really greedy to be looking to make a profit?
I think most people would say it depends.
What’s your goal? What are you going to do with the money you make?
Just because you’re creating an enterprise that provides for you and others doesn’t make you greedy…
I want to completely rephrase that…
Because you’re creating an enterprise that provides for you and other, that means you’re not greedy.
At least not if you’re doing it with the right frame of mind.
Because entrepreneurship is the greatest power for good in this world.
It pulls people out of poverty. It helps people feed themselves. It literally changes economies.
And if that’s what we’re really going for, there’s a way to be profitable and *not* be greedy.
I mean, think about it. How many people can you help if you’re broke?
There’s a 2-step process to philanthropy.
First, we need to obtain the means to assist.
Then, we assist.
But when does that happen? Some obscure time in the future after we’ve “come into money?” That doesn’t seem satisfying. Do good later…? If ever…
It’s when we get stuck in phase 1 too long that we become our own mini Gordon Gekkos.
No one wants it all to be “me, me, me” while you’re scraping to put your company together. But how do you help others while you’re helping yourself?
There is a way.
It’s called Strategic Philanthropy.
And here’s the amazing thing. Since you’re using your own company to do good for others, you can actually grow your own company faster!
How does that work?
I’m excited introduce you to twenty leadership experts from around the world at a one of a kind summit where we will answer this question.

Or don’t. But then there are 2 choices left.
- You go broke not leveraging the power of “doing good and making money at the same time.” And you can’t help yourself … or anyone else, or
- You go full-on Gordon Gekko.
Neither of those options sound good to me.
So choose the option so few even know exists. Do good now…not some time in the future after you’ve “come into money.”
