Brian Speciale and Michael Speciale are the entrepreneurs behind The Original Comfy. As they enter to pitch on Shark Tank to the investors, the brothers describe their product as “the blanket that’s a sweatshirt!” The single dads pitched their brand new business to Mark Cuban, Lori Greiner, Kevin “The Wonderful” O’Leary, Barbara Corcoran, and Robert Herjavec.
Those interested in The Original Comfy Blanket can find them available in three different colors (blue, gray, pink) and available for purchase for $39.99. However, don’t expect this product to be ready for you as a Christmas gift for a loved one as the first batch will not be available until after Christmas.
However, the Speciale brothers are offering printable certificates that customers can put under the Christmas tree as a holding gift for the recipient. They expect to ship out the first batch of product early January — plenty of time to snuggle in The Original Comfy Blanket while its still winter.
So far, the brothers have not sold any, but are taking pre-orders when their Tank episode airs tonight. As of now, they will sell exclusively on their website, adding more online retailers soon, with no immediate plans to enter into brick-and-mortar retailers.
Nonetheless, The Original Comfy earned an investment from Barbara who said that she loves salespeople and that these guys got what it takes to sell. Barbara also noted how comfy the product is.

Philanthropist and Virgin Group founder Richard Branson, Spanx founder Sara Blakely, Skinnygirl Cocktails founder and Real Housewife Bethenny Frankel, Vitamin Water founder Rohan Oza and former MLB player Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez are also slated to appear as guest sharks this season.
