Rokblok Pitches To Shark Tank A New Way To Listen To Vinyls And Makes Deal With Robert Herjavec

By Shawn Rice

Logan Riley, the entrepreneur behind Rokblok by Pink Donut, pitched to the Shark Tank investors a small wooden box with a needle and built-in speaker that rides atop your record and spins around it. For this product, there is no need for a turntable, as music lovers will be able play vinyls anywhere, and even connect to speakers or headphones to enhance sound quality.

The 4×2 inches long blok lays on top of an album. For this product, all you have to do is lift the lever to have the block spin and play. Then wave your hand above the spinning blok to make it stop. It is easy like that. Riley raised $351,816 on Kickstarter to bring Rokblok to life.

Rokblok can connect to Bluetooth speakers, comes with a rechargeable lithium battery, and weighs just 3.2 oz. Riley said that he has pre-sold about 9,000 units to be shipped out on the second week of December just in time as Christmas gifts. At the moment, they are only available on the company’s website, but will soon roll out in select Walmarts so be ready for them.

RokBlok is about bringing back a one-of-a-kind listening experience that centers on a more tactile musical journey that goes beyond a few clicks and drags and involves both communal and solitary enjoyment, invoking more than just auditory perception.

In the end, Riley earned a deal with Robert Herjavec for his Rokblok.

Here are some reactions on social media to RokBlok appearing on Shark Tank.
