Blogging consistently takes a great deal of time and energy, but fortunately, there are other ways to create valuable content.

None are meant to be a substitute for a strong blogging strategy, but instead, they can enhance it. Where does your audience hang out? Make sure you are using those channels to get the message across.

It doesn’t matter how large or small the piece of content is. It’s about finding alternative ways to help your message resonate.

6 Ideas for Valuable Content

Newsletter

People tend to overcomplicate the newsletter idea. It doesn’t need to be a printed brochure that is both professionally written and designed. Instead, it can be as simple as a generic, no frills plain text email if the message is sound.

Maybe it’s linking out to five stories you found valuable this week, or this month. Maybe it’s including a meaningful quote, and what’s new in your industry, or in your business. The content doesn’t have to be complicated, but it does have to be valuable.

A newsletter can go out one or two times a month, and can be as simple or as elaborate as you choose to make it.

Case Studies

Do you have a customer who has used your product or service to overcome their problem? A simple case study highlighting their accomplishments, and how they were able to achieve success could do wonders for your business. This is an easy way to create valuable content.

One-on-One Interactions

If you are responding in email to a client or customer, make sure you take the extra step to provide value. Provide them with your professional opinion, but back it up with a how-to blog or article, just to give them a deeper level of understanding, related to their question.

Look for the best sources out there and use them to help educate.

Twitter

You can tweet more than the links to blog posts. Throw a thought, tip, strategy or industry-related quote into the mix every once in awhile. Twitter is also more than just a microphone. You can use the platform to start an insightful conversation.

Video

With YouTube, Facebook live, Vimeo and other video outlets, there are plenty of opportunities to do video.

Guest Posting

What are the leading industry websites and magazines? You can utilize these platforms to help brand yourself and get your message across. Guest posting is a great way to participate in an industry-related conversation that is already taking place. It’s a great way to find interested people and bring them into your marketing funnels.

Conclusion

There are a lot of ways to create valuable content and publish it across your platform. It’s time to experiment and figure out what works for building a stronger platform.
