Keaton Jones Beaten And Robbed For Expensive Gifts Bought With GoFundMe Donations Is Fake News

Keaton Jones being beaten and robbed at school for bringing in expensive gifts like a Gucci belt and Jordan’s bought with GoFundMe donations is fake news. There is no truth to a report that the east Tennessee middle-schooler received a beating and was subsequently robbed after he wore expensive outfits purchased from money given to him on GoFundMe.

Jones is the boy at the center of an emotional Facebook video talking about being bullied. In the widely-shared video, Jones described how his fellow students poured milk on him and stuffed food such as ham into his clothes. What followed was support in the form of comforting messages flooded in for the student over the weekend.

KNOXVILLE – After alleged bullying victim Keaton Jones received nearly $60k via GoFundMe donations over the weekend, it is being reported that upon returning back to school monday, he was beat and robbed for his possessions, which include a Rolex watch, Gucci belt, pair of Jordan sneakers, and a hoverboard, all which he allegedly purchased with his donation money. According to faculty, Keaton entered the school and rode his hoverboard through the hallways.

However, the above story is false, according to Hoax Alert. Jones has received support from people and celebrities from all over the world including substantial donations via a GoFundMe campaign following his viral Facebook video (seen below). However, Jones has not used the donations to buy luxury items and subsequently got beat up at school.
