Johnny Manuel performed an original song, “Blind Faith” on America’s Got Talent. Howie Mandel called Johnny one of the best singers that he has ever heard. Howie thinks that Johnny may have made a mistake by doing an original song and that he would have done better with a classic.
Mel B agreed that there is no doubt that Johnny is an incredible singer. However, Mel B said that Johnny peaked too song and that he has a massive voice. Mel B said that he hit it too high out of the gate. Heidi Klum admired Johnny for singing an original. Heidi felt that Johnny yelled it too much but still loved him. Simon Cowell said that there is only one risk as a performer and that is being mediocre. Simon applauded Johnny for taking a chance.
Manuel is a self-taught singer and songwriter. As a young child he couldn’t be pulled away from his radio and quickly began mimicking every note he heard coming out of the speakers. Manuel thrives off being on stage and the thrill of the audience’s reaction drives him to continue.
