Hunter Plake’s ‘Elastic Heart’ By Sia On Voice Playoffs Receives High Marks From Adam Levine

By Shawn Rice

Hunter Plake performed “Elastic Heart” by Sia on The Voice playoffs. He is fighting for a spot on the Top 12.

Adam Levine thought Hunter is so good. Adam said being a great singer has become common but what makes Hunter special is that he is someone who truly reflects what is happening in music and the culture. Adam said that he is supremely talented and that this is just the beginning.

Gwen Stefani was blown with everything he just did.

What did you think of the performance? Let us know in the comments section.

Hunter was influenced by church and music from a young age by his family. His dad was in the Christian rock band Brother Brother and he’s been leading worship since he was 14. “The Voice” is his first time performing outside of church. Recently married, he records demos with his brother in his home studio. He lost his home, church and car after the Baton Rouge floods and is currently living with his parents in Lafayette, helping repair the church in his spare time.

The three-time Emmy Award-winning “The Voice” returns with the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the blockbuster vocal competition show’s new season. Grammy Award-winning artist Gwen Stefani returns as a coach this season, joining megastars Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton and host Carson Daly.

The show’s innovative format features five stages of competition: the first begins with the blind auditions, followed by the battle rounds, the knockouts, the live playoffs and, finally, the live performance shows.

In the live playoff rounds, the Top 20 artists compete to secure a spot in the live shows. Artists perform live, and America votes to save their two favorite artists from each team. The coaches then save one remaining artist to complete their roster. The remaining contestants move on to the final phase of the competition – the live shows.
