President Donald Trump continued his Twitter feud with MSNBC’s Morning Joe, following cohosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough’s response slamming the president for his attack. Whichever side you ultimately agree with, at the end of all of this, it is just petty and pretty unbecoming of both news reporters and the president of the United States.
“Watched low rated @Morning_Joe for first time in long time,” Trump claimed. “FAKE NEWS. He called me to stop a National Enquirer article. I said no! Bad show.”

At least now, we know that Trump does indeed watch their programming.
Trump’s reference to the National Enquirer in his tweet is citing something the pair wrote in their Washington Post op-ed about the president and his previous comments.
“The president’s unhealthy obsession with our show has been in the public record for months, and we are seldom surprised by his posting nasty tweets about us,” they wrote. “During the campaign, the Republican nominee called Mika ‘neurotic’ and promised to attack us personally after the campaign ended. This year, top White House staff members warned that the National Enquirer was planning to publish a negative article about us unless we begged the president to have the story spiked. We ignored their desperate pleas.”
In response, Scarborough retweeted the president and called his claims false. “Yet another lie. I have texts from your top aides and phone records. Also, those records show I haven’t spoken with you in many months,” Scarborough wrote.

Here are some current reactions to the latest chapter in this feud.
You know why @realDonaldTrump attacks MSNBC anchors? He’s sick of being slandered by them.
Lie about Trump — he’ll expose truth about you!

And the saga continues. Trump thinks he can use the tactics that worked in the mobbed up real estate world of NY and NJ in the 80s. Not so. https://t.co/b3aTdX2CdN

Press criticism is part of being POTUS but President Trump can’t handle it. From Truman: “If you can’t stand the heat…”

On Thursday, Trump drew outrage for a series of tweets insulting the pair, calling Brzezinski “low I.Q. Crazy Mika” and saying “she was bleeding badly from a face-lift” during a visit to his Mar-a-Lago resort around New Year’s Eve.
