Davon Fleming performed “Ain’t No Way” by Aretha Franklin on The Voice for an instant save. Jennifer Hudson said that a vocalist like that should not be on the bottom on a show called The Voice. Jennifer asked to continue to see him on this competition and hoped everyone sees that.

What did you think of the performance on The Voice? Let us know in the comments section.

Davon grew up in a rough neighborhood, experienced a lot of poverty and witnessed hustling on the streets, but he was never caught on the wrong side of the law. Instead, he was known as the singer in his neighborhood. Davon knew he wanted to sing at three years old after watching his mother perform in the church choir. Being a singer was always his mom’s dream before she had kids, but she had to give up that dream in order to support her family. Currently, Davon works as a worship leader and assists with the musical arrangements for the church choir performances.

“The Voice,” which has won four Emmys for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program, returns with the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the blockbuster vocal competition show’s new season.

Superstar singer, songwriter, actress and pop-culture icon Miley Cyrus returns as a coach this season with Oscar, Grammy, Golden Globe-winning recording artist and Broadway star Jennifer Hudson taking a red chair alongside the show’s returning coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton and host Carson Daly. The show’s innovative format features five stages of competition: the first begins with the blind auditions, then the battle rounds, knockouts, playoffs and, finally, the live performance shows.

In the final live performance phase of the competition, the Top 12 artists will compete each week against each other during a live broadcast. The television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. Three artists with the lowest number of votes will be eligible for the “Instant Save.” These artists will each perform a new song that represents why they should earn the save.
