Dancing with the Stars: Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold Dance Dazzling, ‘Showstopping’ Freestyle for Finals
By Erica Abbott
Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold dance next, performing their freestyle to “Puttin’ on the Ritz 2017 (Jazzy Radio Mix)” by Taco feat. tomX. Arnold wants their freestyle to be a total showstopper.
Bruno Tonioli calls it “sensational,” adding that Fisher has an incredible star power. Carrie Ann Inaba says he never ceases to amaze her, while Len Goodman calls it a “crackerjack of a number.” Guest judge Julianne Hough praises that so many different elements were incorporated. They score a 40 out of 40.
Welcome to the first night of the season 25 finale! The four finalists will be performing two dances on Monday—a Charleston, foxtrot, quickstep or paso doble for their redemption-style dance in round one and the fan-favorite freestyles in round two. Former pro Julianne Hough joins the judging panel tonight. One couple will be eliminated at the end of the night. On Tuesday, the three remaining finalists will repeat their favorite dance from the season and perform in the 24-Hour Fusion Challenge, which combines two contrasting dance styles. Drew Scott and Emma Slater are currently at the bottom of the leaderboard with 48 out of 60 points. At the top of the leaderboard are Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold, who earned a perfect score for their Iconic Dance jive during the semi-finals last week.

According to ABC, Fisher is an actor and singer whose credits include “Grease: LIVE,” “Moana” and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s hit Broadway musical “Hamilton.” “The underlying thread to all Fisher’s success across the board is music. He’s not just a multi-talented performer but also a storyteller. His influences are diverse and can be traced back to his days growing up in a football town outside of Birmingham, Alabama, where he cultivated his tastes by listening to everything from Luther Vandross to Metallica while simultaneously developing his acting skills at the Birmingham-based Red Mountain Theatre Company.” He is currently working on his first full-length album.
