Aliyah Moulden Is The Artist Blake Shelton Was Waiting For With ‘I Can Only Imagine’ On The Voice

Aliyah Moulden closed out the Voice Top 8 with a performance of “I Can Only Imagine” by MercyMe. Blake Shelton said that he signed on to do this show as a coach hoping that someday that he could meet and work with an artist like her. Blake said that she has the talent and that the audience has seen her grow through the competition.

Blake shouted out that people should vote for her. Aliyah ended the night by hugging Blake.

Aliyah is being raised solely by her mother since her father passed away from lung cancer when she was only one month old. Music helped Aliyah find herself in high school, and her mother signed her up for vocal lessons. She has opened for Caroline Sunshine, Todrick Hall and Jesse McCartney. This past summer, she sang in the BET Experience at the L.A. Convention Center.
