To kick off the night, Adam Cunningham performed “I’m Already There” by Lonestar on The Voice Top 8. Adam spoke about how he wants to sing big notes but that he wants to move the audience.
Blake Shelton said that he always loved the song and felt it was a great song choice. Blake said that he is so glad that Adam is choosing his own songs. Blake noted that the song meant something to Adam and that he sang the hell out of that song. Adam Levine said that is as good as a response that he can get out of Blake. Levine said that Cunningham has been an amazing surprise because he continues to make it through and compel people with this performances.
Levine called Cunningham one of the top contenders and said that he deserves to be in the finale.

Adam, a session singer in Nashville, grew up singing at churches with his mom and dad before releasing a few Christian albums as a young adult. Things were starting to look good until 2011 when his career went on the fritz as he and his first wife divorced. Adam put music on hold until 2013 when he met his current wife, Courtney. She brought light into Adam’s life and he started writing songs again. A year ago, Adam and Courtney welcomed a baby girl into their family. Now, more than ever, Adam wants to make a successful career singing his music.
